Welcome to Mommy Zen® . . .
A loving, supportive online community where you are appreciated and understood.
We will provide articles, resources, answer your questions, all the while encouraging you to live from your place of authenticity, your true self: the self that doesn't get flustered, offended, whiny, enraged, but knows that all life is just a journey that is meant to be enjoyed and savored. The peace that you radiate ripples out into your world and creates a safe, open, nonjudgmental environment for your kids to be who they were created to be, and grow into healthy, loving, productive adults.
When life feels overwhelming, Just Breathe . . .
Does This Sound Like Your Life?
You are cooking dinner. The baby is crying. The dog is whining to go out. The phone rings. Your partner in all this chaos has a meeting and can't be home on time. Meanwhile, the assignment you promised your boss would be completed today is sitting untouched on your desk, just a few feet away, staring at you reproachfully . . . .
Or is this scenario more like it? It's 11 pm at night; you are exhausted; you need to get to bed, but your teenager is not home yet. You have a 7-year-old asleep after (could it be?) a hundred questions and reasons why he is too old to go to bed at 8:30. The phone rings. It's the police station. Well, at least now you know why your teen is late...
Or . . . Rushing to get payroll out at work, you are running late. You arrive at the day care 5 minutes late...just 5 minutes! And then you get the lecture about how three times late and you will have to find a new day care. Finally, you make it home, walk in your door, and . . . your dog just couldn't wait those few extra minutes. You almost slip and fall in the puddle he left on the floor.
Or . . . ?
Send me your own worst case scenario. I am sure you can probably top these;-)
